Hi. Have just downloaded a trial version of Virtual DJ.. I connected the Bcd3000 to my Ipod Touch using the cable supplied with the Bcd3000, opened Virtual DJ and made sure Bcd3000s USB port was selected as the device I want to control with. Then when I start a song on Bcd3000, and I could see the tracks name on screen, but when I made any change to the tracks parameter settings (eg: Sampling rate) or performance (eg: Bit rate) with the Bcd3000 it had no effect on the songs appearance in Virtual DJ!
Hey guys, so im having a bit of an issue with my bcd3000 and i cant seem to find a solution anywhere. ive had it in peak mode working with no problems, then to normal mode. however when i switch the bcd from normal to peak mode, the playlist just freezes and i get this error message “Discovery of device impossible (17.)The driver encountered a problem while communicating with the device. Check your cable connections and drivers and make sure that your device is compatible with this driver, otherwise, the device will not be recognized or the driver will not work.
when a media device is connected to a mac or pc via a usb port or firewire cable, the finder automatically scans the device and creates a virtual disk for each file format supported by the device. the virtual disk contains a copy of the media file, which can be accessed and played just like any other mac or pc file.
the virtual disk also contains additional information, including the location where the file was found, the device that the file was found on, the size of the file, and other information. this extra information is called metadata. the metadata is created from information in the file itself.
I have just bought a Mapper Bcd3000 Virtual Dj 8 computerized DJ mixer. I have no idea about DJ mappings on the VDJ. I have tried to get it to work with virtual DJ (version 6 and 7). Unfortunately the VDJ does not recognize the mapping on the Mapper. Also it seems that the record button on the unit is not working. Any help with this would be very appreciated. Thanks.
ok, I have also looked on the site and was unable to find a solution to my problem. There is a forum for a bug in the software that prevents the recording function from working. It seems that there is an error in the software when mapping, but there doesnt seem to be much information on it. I have also contacted the manufacturer, and no one will reply to me. I have two different mappers (one with mixer that does not have the problem, one without mixer that has the problem), so its not a hardware issue. Whats frustrating is that the BCD3000 works fine with virtual DJ ver 6 and 7, which was a lot more money back in 2002. Has anyone experienced this problem before and found a solution? Anyone have another mixer to use while virtual DJ is not working? Thanks.
I ended up throwing it out with my previous unit, the BCD3000 is a unit with more options and features than it really needed. It has got a few bugs to iron out, and the developer of it has its own issues it needs to work out. I would rather just use a decent set of internal DJ sound card plug-ins than deal with the BCD3000.
But now it’s time to see if the BCD3000 has the potential to do anything unexpected, before you do that, it’s important to understand that you need to be a DJ in your own right before you take the plunge with this. Otherwise, you might get disappointed.
