security mode protects sensitive recordings by locking out access to the dvr/nvr until you provide the correct user name and password. it is especially useful when the surveillance system is installed in locations accessible to the general public (such as shops, banks, or restaurants).
sensitive recordings are protected by the system in two ways, password protection and inaudible recording mode. both are enabled by the standard operating system and are always active, even when the system is logged off. the security mode can be enabled and disabled from the system settings menu. when the system is enabled, both passwords are available to the user. the inaudible recording mode can be enabled and disabled from the system settings menu.
when the logs do not show any attack on your account, and the credentials you input pass the authentication test, you can confirm that the network is not blocking your account. this does not mean that the intruder has failed to log in – he could be anywhere on the network. to be sure, you can set a password policy that disallows access to your live feed without a unique daily password.
if you do not have a unique daily password, you can use the dahua dvr password generator and generate a daily password. simply enter a date on the timestamp, and the system will generate a password. this tool will generate a password that is based on the date (timestamp) you input, this tool is intended to be used on a daily basis or for daily monitoring, if you have a job that requires you to rotate your accounts from day to day then this is the tool for you.
